Is this technology private and secure?

Yes, this technology complies with all applicable provincial and federal regulations regarding the collection, storage, and use of your patients’ personal health data. We’re happy to provide you with in-depth privacy and security documentation upon request.

What happens with the audio after the visit?

The audio is streamed and transcribed in real-time and sent to Mika’s AI model to create insights for the encounter note. The audio is immediately destroyed after successful transcription. We do not create or store a recording of the audio.

What happens if I forget to stop Mika at the end of a session?

Mika will automatically pause the session after 3 minutes of silence or when you close the appointment details page. If you haven't resumed a paused session within 24 hours, Mika will automatically end it. Please note that a session must be ended before Mika can generate suggested content for your note.
