Pausing

You may occasionally experience a session where Mika pauses unexpectedly. Mika will automatically pause your session under the following conditions:

  • After 3 minutes of silence

    • If this is happening, even though you are talking, you may be experiencing Microphone Issues.

  • If you have activated Mika for an appointment, and then try to open that same appointment in another tab (e.g., opening the same appointment in another tab on the same device, opening the same appointment on both your computer and your phone.

  • If you have activated Mika for one appointment, and then try to activate Mika for another appointment at the same time (i.e., trying to have multiple Mika sessions going simultaneously)

    • If you'd like to enable your team members to activate Mika while you're with another patient, and then hand the session off to you, check out our Team Mode feature.

Ensure you have sound notifications turned on, and your speaker volume turned up, so you can hear the notification if Mika automatically pauses during your session.
