🔁Quick Start Appointments vs. EMR Appointments
Definitions:
Quick Start Appointment: Appointments added using the Quick Start button on the Mikata Appointments Dashboard (see image below).
EMR Appointment: Appointments created in your EMR that show up in your daysheet on the Mikata Appointments Dashboard (see image below).

Getting started
To practice using Mika AI Scribe, we recommend starting with a Quick Start appointment or creating a fake patient in your EMR.
Quick Start can be used to create an appointment on the go, but because the appointment is not connected to a patient in your EMR, the notes from appointments created in Mikata cannot be synced to your EMR and must be copied and pasted instead using the copy button (see image below).

If you’d like to test sending notes to your EMR, we recommend creating a fake patient and booking a test appointment in your EMR with yourself as the provider. This appointment will then appear on the Mikata Appointments dashboard. Mikata syncs with your EMR approximately every two minutes, so it may take a couple minutes to show up on the Appointments Dashboard.
To activate Mika for an EMR appointment, find it on the Appointments Dashboard and click ‘start’ (see image below).

At the end of the appointment click ‘Send to EMR’ or select the dropdown next to it and select another option (i.e. Copy, Export to PDF). Med Access Integrated users will also have the option to send to Visits or Tasks - Click here to learn more about this.
